Vintage Consignment Shop In HoCo Finds Success With Twin Sister Owners
Twin sisters Jordan Virden Menefee and Alexandra Virden Mitchell own a vintage consignment shop in a restored church in Ellicott City.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Shoppers looking for vintage items, secret treasures and one-of-a-kind goodies at a secondhand price should look no further than Twin Thrift Vintage.
Twin sisters Jordan Virden Menefee and Alexandra Virden Mitchell started the business in July 2024.
"Our passion for vintage finds and sustainability, rooted in childhood memories, has made their shop a beloved destination," Virden Mitchell told Patch. "Twin Thrift Vintage is more than just a thrift and consignment shop—it’s a heartfelt celebration of nostalgia and sustainability. This Ellicott City treasure trove was inspired by growing up with our grandmother in a multi-generational home where we discovered our love for vintage finds and the stories behind them."

Their customers span all age ranges, with most in their late 20s to early 50s. They’re individuals from all demographics seeking unique additions to their homes, Virden Mitchell noted.
"Some are collectors, like those drawn to our uranium glass collection, while others want to replicate big-box retailer finds sustainably with one-of-a-kind treasures," she said.
Individuals who want to consign at Twin Thrift Vintage can reach out to the owners with photos of the vintage piece they want to consign.
"We’ll review them, send you an offer and display the items in the shop. Other Shops at Westwood that offer consignment include Revive Collective for clothes and Westwood Unique for home furnishings," Virden Mitchell said. "By promoting secondhand shopping and consignment, Twin Thrift Vintage helps reduce waste and encourages thoughtful consumption. Every item sold or consigned has its own story, adding to the charm and purpose of each purchase."
