Woman Killed In Hit-And-Run While Crossing Street: Police
Police are seeking information about the deadly crash in Ellicott City after a woman was hit while crossing the street, authorities said.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A woman died over the weekend after she was struck in a hit-and-run crash while crossing the street in Ellicott City, according to police.
The incident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday on Baltimore National Pike at Ridge Road, police said. The woman was crossing Baltimore National Pike in a crosswalk when she was hit by an eastbound vehicle believed to be a 2013-18 silver Nissan Altima, according to the Howard County Police Department.
The vehicle did not stop and continued east on Baltimore National Pike, police said. The woman was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center where she was pronounced dead, according to police.
