Crime Beat: Man Assaults Woman in Home

Here are the latest crimes reported to the Essex Precinct:
Vincent Ave, unit block, June 15 at 8 p.m. A 33-year-old man was arrested and charged with entering a home through a front door and assaulting a 21-year-old woman inside. Police arrested the suspect at the scene as he also allegedly kicked an officer in the groin while being placed in the prisoner transport van.
Upperlanding Road, 300 block, June 17-18 An unknown suspect entered the back yard of a home and damaged the owner’s Jeep. The damage included cutting the vehicle’s top and scratching a profane word onto the hood. Total loss: $500.

Williams Avenue, 1500 block, June 17 at 10:30 p.m. An unknown suspect entered the rear fenced-in yard of the home and removed a black mini motorcycle. Total loss: $250.
Williams Road, 5900 block, June 17-20 Someone reportedly pried open the rear door to a building and stole a 2000 Ford pick-up truck and various tools belonging to JKH Properties. Total loss: $27,250.
