Senior first baseman Chris Hook went 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI while junior pitcher Shane Mizelle allowed a run on three hits, struck out four and walked five for the Mavericks (3-1).

Senior catcher Ashley Sauerwein went 3-for-4 at the plate with two doubles and senior outfielder Alexis Peay went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases for the Mavericks (3-1). The Mavericks scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back.
Sophomore pitcher Jordan Cargile struck out three, scattered six hits and allowed two earned runs to pick up the win for Eastern Tech. The Mavericks next play at 3:45 p.m. Friday when they host Hereford.
Eastern Tech Boys Lacrosse: Bobby Walsh scored three goals and goalie Wyatt Almond had 19 saves in the Mavericks 10-3 loss to Catonsville.

Kenwood Baseball: Pitcher Anthony Pelekakis struck out five, walked one and did not allow an earned run as Kenwood cruised to a 14-1 win over visiting Patapsco in a game halted after five innings on Wednesday.
Pelekakis also had two doubles and drove in four runs while Mike Simmons and Edgar Walker had three and two RBIs, respectively, for the Bluebirds (3-0). The Bluebirds scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back.
Kenwood returns to the field at 3:45 p.m. Friday at Franklin.
Kenwood Boys Lacrosse: Junior attack Nick Eliadis scored six goals and had two assists as the Bluebirds posted a 13-0 shutout over Lansdowne.
Junior attack Jason Alvey scored twice, senior attackmen Kevin Dellasontos and Jordan Boller dished out three and two assists, respectively, and junior goalie Ben Runk had five saves for Kenwood (3-1), which next plays at 5:15 p.m. Friday against visiting Woodlawn.
