Essex-Middle River Crime: Man Beaten With Poles, Robbed

Coralthorn Road, 2200 block. Between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m., Nov. 22. Someone pried a window screen and pushed out the glass from a window. Entry was not gained.

Becklow Avenue, 1500 block. Between 8 a.m., Nov. 21 and 8 a.m., Nov. 22. A red and black Power Wheels ATV-style toy and a concrete saw were stolen from a shed. Police say an intruder cut a chain on a gate, then broke a lock off the shed.
Myersview Drive, 6900 block. Between midnight, Nov. 20 and 1:30 p.m., Nov. 21. Someone entered a home through a front kitchen window, turned up the thermostat and took nothing, but left behind a bottle of hair gel.

Bengies Road and Jonquil Lane. 12:15 a.m., Nov. 21. Two masked men carrying poles chased a man, who crashed into a bench and broke his leg. The men then beat him with the poles and their fists. They also went through the man's pockets, stealing $6 and a Samsung cell phone.
Midthorn and Kingston roads. 7:12 p.m., Nov. 19. Two men approached a man from behind and one implied he had a gun. The other took a blue backpack, then the pair went through the victim's pockets and assaulted him before fleeing.
