UPDATE: Water Valve Repaired, Middlesex Elementary Closed Thursday

UPDATE (8:50 a.m.)—Middlesex Elementary School in Essex closed Thursday, Jan. 3 for a water problem, Baltimore County Public Schools announced. 

A water valve in front of the school, located at 142 Bennett Rd., broke overnight, according to Kurt Kocher, a spokesman for the Baltimore City Department of Public Works.

Kocher confirmed that the valve was repaired sometime between 11 p.m. on Jan. 2 and 7 a.m. on Jan. 3. It was unknown if any homes had lost water service during repairs, he said.
