Essex-Middle River Patch's Weekly NFL Pick'Em

The NFL season is officially here.

The 2011 season got underway with the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers holding off the New Orleans Saints, 42-34 on Thursday night.

The next five months will have millions of people across the country following every bit of news concerning their favorite football team.

Essex-Middle River Patch wants to see how close you are following the NFL. Each week, we will invite people to predict the results of each game to determine local bragging rights on who is the area's best pigskin prognosticator.

Essex-Middle River Patch editor Ron Snyder will make his picks each week as well. All games will be picked without the point spread and is of course for entertainment purposes only.

For the first week, Patch invited WNST sports talk show host Glenn Clark to make his picks. Clark's show "The Reality Check" can be heard from 2-6 p.m. on Monday-Friday at 1570 a.m.
