Suspects Still Sought in Middle River Armed Robbery

Employee at Oak Grove Liquors chased suspects and fired "warning shot" following Saturday morning incident, police said.

Two suspects wanted for an armed robbery at a Middle River liquor store Saturday morning are still at-large, a Baltimore County police spokeswoman said.

said the suspects entered Oak Grove Liquors, located on the 300 block of Holly Drive, at 10:19 a.m. and robbed a male and female employee at gunpoint. The male employee then got into a struggle with one of the suspects and was struck in the head with the gun.

The suspects then grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from a drawer and ran off, Batton said.

At that point, Batton said, the male employee retrieved another gun from the store, chased the suspects and fired a “warning shot.” The source of the employee's gun is still under investigation, Batton said.

The male employee was treated for a head injury at the scene and refused to be taken to the hospital, Batton said.

The suspects are described as two black males, each approximately 5-foot-11 and 165 pounds with medium builds. Also, one of the suspects had a spider tattoo, Batton said.

Employees at Oak Grove Liquors declined to comment on the incident.
