19-Year-Old Found Fatally Shot Behind Gaithersburg Business: PD

The body of a 19-year-old man was found Thursday evening. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled his death a homicide by gunshot.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A 19-year-old man was found fatally shot in Gaithersburg, according to Montgomery County police.

The body of Tyshun Gary Jaheim Williams, of Washington, D.C., was discovered behind a business in the 15700 block of Shady Grove Rd. around 3:19 p.m. on Thursday.

Police said he had suffered from "trauma to his upper body" and was pronounced dead on the scene. Williams' body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where the manner and cause of death were ruled a homicide by gunshot.

Police said they believe that Williams was killed in the late evening hours of Wednesday, Feb. 3.

Anyone with additional information, or who observed suspicious activity in the area that night, is asked to call detectives at 240-773-5070.
