The 2025 Montgomery County Fair starts this weekend. Here's what to know about hours, ride tickets, the carnival and more.
GAITHERSBURG, MD — The 2025 Montgomery County Agricultural Fair starts Friday, Aug. 8, and runs through Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds, 16 Chestnut St. Gaithersburg.

Admission/Tickets
General Admission: $18 On-site, $13.88 Online
Children 11 & under admitted free daily (Free same day re-admission, get your hand stamped at the gate before departing)

Group Rate Tickets: Must be purchased online. Click here.
Parking
$20 per car at the Fairgrounds, use 501 Perry Parkway entrance, pay with cash or credit card. No public parking or entry at Chestnut Street entrance.
Ride Share (Uber, Lyft, Metro Access, etc): Must use 16 Chestnut St. for dropoff and pickup
Shuttle buses will run from both Montgomery College locations 30 minutes before fair opening each day and run consistently until fair closing each night.

There will be no fair parking or shuttles from Lakeforest Mall.

- Friday, August 8: 3pm–midnight
- Saturday, August 9, Friday, August 15 & Saturday, August 16: 10am–midnight
- Sunday, August 10 – Thursday, August 14: 10am–11pm
Carnival Hours/Tickets
- Friday, August 8: 3pm – midnight
- Saturday, August 9: Noon – Midnight
- Sunday, Aug. 10 through Thursday, Aug. 14: Noon – 11 pm
- Friday, August 15 through Saturday, August 16: Noon – Midnight
Advanced One-Day Ride Wristband – available online only, through Thursday, Aug. 7 at midnight for $30. (Does not include Fair admission fee)
OPENING DAY Friday, August 8 – One-day ride wristbands will cost $25. You may ride until midnight only. Must be purchased at a Carnival Ticket Booth before 11 p.m. Ride all rides but Air Raid/Speed, Ride wristbands will be placed on wrist at time of purchase, no exceptions. (Does not include fair admission fee).
Monday, August 11 & Tuesday, August 12 – Family Day Ride Specials Monday and Tuesday ONLY one-day ride wristbands will cost $25 all day, ride until 11pm. Must be purchased at a Carnival Ticket Booth Before 10 PM. Ride all rides but Air Raid/Speed.
One-day ride wristbands can only be purchased at the Carnival Fun Tagg Kiosk stations located in the Carnival area of the Fairgrounds, or online. The Air Raid/Speed ride is excluded from the ride wristband offer.
