The store, located at 12211 Darnestown Rd. in the Quince Orchard Marketplace shopping center, will close on Nov. 2, <a href="https://mocoshow.com/2025/10/23/california-tortilla-will-close-gaithersburg-restaurant-permanently-on-november-2/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">a representative confirmed to The MoCo Show</a>. The closure marks the <a href="https://mocoshow.com/2024/11/30/california-tortilla-closes-after-ten-years/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">second California Tortilla location</a> to shutter in Gaithersburg within the past year, the report said. The company's restaurant at 255 Spectrum Avenue in Gaithersburg's Spectrum Town Center also closed in November 2024. Following the closure of the Darnestown Road store, the brand will no longer have a presence in Gaithersburg. The company is based in Potomac and has locations in Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Virginia.
