Donations Needed For June 11 Family, Pet Food Drive

Montgomery County police and nonprofits have joined forces to feed the region's cash-strapped families and their pets. Here's how to donate.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — As the economic fallout from the pandemic continues, Montgomery County police and nonprofits have joined forces to feed the region's cash-strapped families and their pets.

The police, in partnership with MCPAW and Manna Food Center, will be hosting a food drive on Thursday, June 11, and are asking residents to donate what they can to help their neighbors.

"With the COVID-19 crisis still lingering, many of our community members are in need of food donations for themselves and their pets," police said in a statement. "We are asking the public's assistance to help out fellow members of the community who are experiencing difficult circumstances."
