About the "Elevation" exhibition:

In this solo exhibit, the artist presents brand new paintings that exude a sense of elevated elements through color and theme. Skyscapes within landscape and seascapes aim to elevate the viewer into a higher realm of consciousness along with attaining a sense of meditative enlightenment that transforms one towards a Zen state of peace and harmony. Borchert considers her artwork as a form of visual poetry. The artist's artwork is inspired by nature and the environment. The artwork intends to be a bridge that intersects the connectivity of art and the environment emphasizing the importance of living with nature and its benefits on humans. The artwork showcases a sense of identity of who the artist is: her hopes, aspirations and dreams. Blue is Borchert's favorite color due to the fact that she was born by the Mediterranean sea. Hence, Borchert's love for the Big Blue has been engraved in her and imprinted in her vision and memory ever since the artist was a child. The paintings capture the essence of time, movement and memory in a lyrical and painterly way. Overall, The paintings are poetic in nature with a meditative take striving to generate feelings of re-energy, harmony and peace.
