Free T-Shirts, Coffee To Celebrate New Wawa Store In Gaithersburg
The new Wawa in Gaithersburg will be holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday. Festivities begin at 7:45 a.m.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — Wawa is opening a new store in Gaithersburg on Thursday, with doors opening at 8 a.m. and t-shirts for the first 100 customers and free any size hot coffee on opening day.
The new Gaithersburg Wawa, the company's first in Montgomery County, will be holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m. The Wawa is located 405 S. Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg.
Festivities will start at 7:45 a.m. on Thursday, with Wawa General Manager Kaitlyn Moyer doing the honors of counting down the moment when the doors open for the very first time at 8 a.m.

The free t-shirts will be “In My Wawa Era 60th Anniversary” shirts, celebrating the privately owned company's six decades in business.
A signature Hoagies for Heroes hoagie building competition will take between the Gaithersburg Police Department and Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Station 8. The official ribbon-cutting will include Wawa mascot Wally Goose.
