​Gaithersburg Celebrates Youth Art Month with Student/Teacher Art Exhibit

Meet the artists during a free Artists Reception on Friday, March 10 from 5 to 7 p.m.

From the Activity Center: In celebration of Youth Art Month, the City of Gaithersburg presents “Creativity Alive in Gaithersburg!,” a multimedia exhibition featuring artwork created by students and teachers from the Gaithersburg Cluster of Montgomery County Public Schools. The juried exhibit is on display through April 2, 2017 at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, 506 S. Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg. Viewing hours are Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Meet the artists during a free Artists Reception on Friday, March 10 from 5 to 7 p.m.

“Creativity Alive in Gaithersburg!” features student and teacher artworks that embody creativity and personal meaning. Works include photography, drawing, painting, collage, and mixed media from students at Gaithersburg High School, Gaithersburg and Forest Oak Middle Schools, and Goshen, Gaithersburg, Summit Hall, and Laytonsville Elementary Schools.
