Gaithersburg Crime: Aggravated Assault and Residential, Commercial Burglaries

Montgomery County police released a crime summary for July 16 through July 24. The following incidents were reported in Gaithersburg:
- An aggravated assault occurred in the unit block of North Summit Drive on Friday, July 20 around 12:15 a.m. The suspect is known to the victim.
- An assault occurred on Sunday, July 22 before midnight in the 7300 block of Brenish Drive. Police describe the suspect as a hispanic male, aged 25-30 years, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was seen wearing a grey hoodie and black pants.
- An attempted burglary occurred in the 9300 block of Bathgate Court on Friday, July 20 around 4 a.m. Entry to the home was forced and nothing was taken.
- A residential burglary occurred in the 18600 block of Blue Violet Lane in Gaithersburg on Thursday, July 19 between 9 a.m. and 10:25 a.m. Entry to the home was forced and property was taken.
- A commercial burglary occurred at Subway Restaurant, 876 Muddy Branch Road, at an unknown time on Monday, July 23.
