For over thirty years, we have provided families with a safe, engaging, and active summer camp experience for children three years old to fourteen. With the sprawling Sandy Spring Friends School campus, we offer summer experiences for your children that will provide lifelong memories and friendships. Nearly 675 miles from home, a Gaithersburg native ran, swam and biked her way to a victory in the <a href="http://www.chicagotriathlon.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Chicago Triathlon</a>. Jeanne Lappin won the Sunday, Aug. 26, sprint distance Chicago Triathlon in the female age 55-59 division with a time of 1:28:28. The sprint competition required a .75 kilometer (.47 mile) swim, 22 kilometer (13.64 mile) bike ride, and 5 kilometer (3.1 mile) run. Lappin was the only Maryland competitor to win a race at the event.
