Gaithersburg Skate Park To Remain Open Through November

GAITHERSBURG, MD — Gaithersburg State Park, which normally closes on Oct. 31, will be extending its season through Nov. 29, due to popular demand.

City officials say the park will remain open through the end of the month on weekends, from noon to sunset. Skateboarders, inline skaters, and BMX bike riders of all ages and skill levels are welcome. There is no admission fee.

The 12,000-square-foot facility is located behind the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, at 510 South Frederick Ave. It includes an A-frame ramp and rail, mini half-pipe, pyramid wedge, and several quarters and banks of varying heights.

Registration is now available for Saturday morning group skateboarding lessons in November. The park also offers private lessons. Register online and download the private lesson request form here.
