• Grants awarded to improve mobility for adults and disabled persons (mymcmedia.org) — Several Gaithersburg-based organizations just received major transportation grants to improve door-to-door rides, wheelchair-accessible vehicles, and travel training for older adults and people with disabilities. These awards, part of a $10.7 million regional package, will expand medical daycare shuttles, minivan fleets, Metro Access capacity, and skills training that directly affect how vulnerable Gaithersburg residents get to appointments, services, and daily activities.
   

• MCPD seeks help finding missing 15‑Year‑Old in Gaithersburg (mymcmedia.org) — Police are asking Gaithersburg residents to help find 15-year-old Richelle Nieto‑Gonzalez, last seen Friday, December 26, wearing multicolored pajama bottoms, a pink blanket, and carrying a black bag. Detectives urge anyone in Gaithersburg and nearby communities with information to call Montgomery County Police or use anonymous tip options to assist in her safe return.
   

• American Veterinary Dental College – September 24, 2025 (avma.org) — A Gaithersburg veterinary dental specialist, Dr. Kendall Taney, is highlighted for her leadership and advanced oral surgery work at the Center for Veterinary Dentistry & Oral Surgery in Gaithersburg. She and other specialists nationwide were recognized at the American Veterinary Dental College’s annual meeting, which celebrated service, emerging talent, and new diplomates in veterinary dentistry.
