Driver Dies After Crashing Into Gaithersburg Townhomes: Police
The driver of the vehicle, a 62-year-old man from Gaithersburg, was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
GAITHERSBURG, MD — A man has died after crashing his vehicle into two townhomes in Gaithersburg.
According to the Montgomery County Police Department, the crash happened Monday just before 3 p.m. in the 400 block of Orchard Ridge Dr. in Gaithersburg
Detectives said the driver of a 2016 white BMW was traveling southbound on Orchard Ridge Drive when, for reasons unknown at this time, crossed over the center median, left the roadway and crashed into the townhome residences of 432 and 434 Orchard Ridge Dr.

The BMW and building engulfed in flames damaging both residences as well as 430 and 428 Orchard Ridge Drive, police said.
The driver of the BMW, 62-year-old Victor Cascella Gaithersburg, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead Monday evening. No one else was injured during this collision, police said.
