GAITHERSBURG, MD — It's official: the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair is canceled.

Like many events across the country, the countywide fair in Gaithersburg was canceled over concerns about the coronavirus pandemic.

"In order to protect our volunteers, our exhibitors, the citizens of our community, and those who work at the Fair in a variety of different jobs, the Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair that was scheduled to occur from August 14-22, 2020," organizers said in a statement.
