Brothers Charged In Stabbing At Gaithersburg Hotel

UPDATES: Two brothers were arrested after they stabbed hotel guests during an attempted robbery in Gaithersburg this weekend, police said.

(Updated at 3 p.m. Monday): GAITHERSBURG, MD — Two brothers were arrested after they allegedly stabbed hotel guests during an attempted robbery in Gaithersburg this weekend, officials said.

Police charged Sean M. Wilson, 31, and Robert A. Wilson, 33, both of Gaithersburg, for home invasion robbery and assault-related charges, police said.

The incident happened at the Extended Stay America at 201 Professional Dr. at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday. A hotel employee who heard the assault contacted the police, a statement said.

Investigation revealed Sean and Robert Wilson gained entry into the victims' hotel room and attempted to rob them. They allegedly attacked the man with a baseball bat and a knife, and assaulted the woman with the bat, police said.

Responding officers were called to the scene and located the victims with non-life-threatening injuries in their hotel room. They were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Officers found Sean and Robert Wilson in a separate hotel room suffering from injuries they had sustained in the assault, police said. The brothers were transported to the hospital.

Sean and Robert Wilson were arrested after they were released from the hospital and charged with one count each of home invasion robbery, two counts each of first-degree assault, and two counts each of second-degree assault.

Robert Wilson is currently being held without bond, while Sean Wilson was released after posting a $5,000 bond.
