Alongside Wilson Wims Elementary in Clarksburg, the Gaithersburg school celebrated with a campus-wide event as Maryland revives its own Blue Ribbon program after the national version ended.
   

• Crimaudo's Double-Double Leads SMCM in Loss (southernmarylandchronicle.com) — Gaithersburg native and first-year guard Khairi Hyde turned in 12 points and a career-high eight rebounds for St. Mary’s College of Maryland, despite a conference loss to Penn State Abington. The game featured multiple lead changes before Abington pulled away late, and Hyde will look to build on his performance in upcoming road matchups this week.
