Residents Evacuated From Gaithersburg Apartment After Crash: Reports
A driver crashed into an apartment building in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, causing significant structural damage, according to officials.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A driver crashed into an apartment building in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, causing significant structural damage, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services.
The incident occurred in the 17100 block of King James Way, near W. Diamond Ave. in Gaithersburg, The MoCo Show reported.
The fire department’s technical rescue team went to the scene of the crash to shore up the structure and stabilize the building, MCFRS Pete Piringer spokesman said.

Six people were evacuated from their apartments in the building and were sheltered by the property manager out of the weather, Piringer said.
No injuries were reported in the crash, he said.
