Stabbing Near Gaithersburg High School: 1 Teen Hurt, 1 Arrested
The stabbing Thursday afternoon, happened on S Frederick Avenue and Education Boulevard, the Gaithersburg Police Department said.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — One person was arrested after a stabbing near Gaithersburg High School Thursday afternoon, Gaithersburg Police said on Twitter.
WTOP reported that officers found two high school students near a bus stop. One had cuts on their "extremities," and the other was arrested, Gaithersburg police spokesman Dan Lane told WTOP.
Principal Cary Dimmick sent parents an email about the incident, according to The Washington Post.

“A situation of this nature can be unsettling for our students,” Dimmick said in the letter. “I want to thank the quick actions of our school’s staff, who helped in securing the area and supported the Gaithersburg High School Community Engagement Officer and responding police as they worked with the individuals involved in the altercation.”
