She is now working on a master’s degree in Library Sciences at UM-College Park and is a teaching assistant in the university’s Information Studies department.
She was a technology intern for M&T Bank in Buffalo during the 2023 summer, was named to a student advisory board, and university publications featured her as one of seven students to land a first-year internship.
McKenna entered the Montgomery College Early College Program in her junior year of high school and completed two years of college, earning an associate’s degree at the same time as her high school diploma. She made the Dean’s List for several semesters at the University of Maryland and Montgomery College, and won a Student Academic Excellence scholarship and a Governor’s Merit Scholastic Award. She is also involved in several college clubs, including the Cybersecurity Club and Linguistics Club.
