Victim Stabbed at McDonald's

Police responded to a reported stabbing in Gaithersburg on Friday night.

A male victim told police he was struck with a baseball bat and stabbed in the back in the parking lot of the McDonald's at 465 North Frederick Ave. around 9 p.m. on Friday night.

He was transported to Suburban Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Capt. Paul Starks of the Montgomery County Police Department said police received a complaint about an altercation in the McDonald's parking lot shortly after 9 p.m. They located two males in a truck nearby, one of whom related that he had been attacked and stabbed by a group of six or seven adult African American males.

"It may be that this altercation was related to a previous altercation that started at Lake Forest Mall, so it’s possible that the victim and the assailants are known to each other," Starks said, adding he could not confirm this with certainty.
