Congrats for successfully hold CCACC Health Center the 4th Charity Golf Tournament

Since 2019, CCACC Health Center has been organizing an annual Charity Golf Tournament in June, aiming to raise funds to support its medical services. The center provides comprehensive services to low-income and uninsured individuals in Montgomery County, ensuring that patients and their families receive the best healthcare and experience. Through years of delivering free and high-quality medical care to the community residents, CCACC Health Center has gradually become a compassionate healthcare haven for the low-income and uninsured population in the county. With the increasing healthcare needs of individuals, the center is dedicated to enhancing the quality of services provided. Therefore, the 4th Charity Golf Tournament is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 23, 2023, at Richland Golf Club, offering an opportunity to raise funds for the betterment of the residents.

At 9:00 a.m. on that day, accompanied by a drizzling rain, the 4th Charity Golf Tournament officially kicked off. A total of 16 teams participated in the event. The fresh air of the countryside created a delightful atmosphere, and everyone enjoyed the pleasure of swinging their clubs while admiring the beautiful scenery on the lush and expansive golf course. In a relaxed and joyful ambiance, the teams engaged in a four-hour-long competition. Meanwhile, in the lounge outside the golf course, CCACC staff members and volunteers involved in the event meticulously prepared the venue for the afternoon's award ceremony. They arrived at the scene as early as 6:00 a.m., diligently reviewing every aspect, ensuring that the tournament would be successfully conducted without any shortcomings.

As the competition came to an end, each team gradually returned to the lounge, where they enjoyed a sumptuous lunch after the intense four-hour-long competition. At 2:30 p.m., Mr. Charles Chen, a board member of the Chinese Culture and Community Service Center (CCACC) and the organizer of the 4th CCACC Health Center Charity Golf Tournament, served as the host of the award ceremony. He began by expressing gratitude to all the guests present. Many of them have been accompanying the growth of the CCACC Health Center and have provided invaluable assistance and encouragement over the past decade. This is our fourth Charity Golf Tournament, and over the past three years, we have received substantial charitable funds from numerous sponsors to provide free and high-quality medical assistance to low-income individuals in Montgomery County. We sincerely appreciate the generous donations from all the sponsors and the dedicated efforts of our volunteers for this event. Mr. Chih-Hsiang Li, another board member of CCACC, was then invited to the stage to deliver a speech. Mr. Li expressed great delight at the successful organization of the tournament and expressed his gratitude to all the sponsors, donors, and members of the CCACC board. CCACC's ability to serve the residents of Montgomery County is made possible by the strong support of everyone behind the scenes. Ms. Rita Lewi, the Executive Director of CCACC, delivered a speech to the guests and engaged them in answering two fun golf-related questions, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere. Before the CCACC board members gathered for a group photo, Chairman Alven Lam expressed gratitude to all the guests present today and extended special thanks to Mr. Charles Chen for his unwavering dedication in organizing this event.

Ms. Yao-Yao Zhu, Vice Chair of CCACC and Medical Director of CCACC Health Center, first expressed gratitude to the sponsors of the tournament. She then introduced the staff of CCACC Health Center and the student volunteers who have been interning at the center. They have all grown and gained valuable learning experiences through each medical service they have provided. Ms. Zhu proceeded to provide a preliminary introduction to the community medical programs at CCACC Health Center, such as "Mental Health 360," "Hepatitis B Prevention and Control," "Cherish Project," "Disease Prevention and Control," "Charitable Medical Services," and "National Health Project." All the proceeds from this tournament will be invested in these medical programs. Ms. Kate Lu, the Director of CCACC Health Center, stated that in last year's tournament, they raised $28,945 in funds, which enabled the center to assist more low-income residents. She expressed great joy in seeing familiar faces from last year's event and warmly welcomed the first-time participants. She looked forward to everyone gathering again next year. Mr. Terry Hsiao, a board member of CCACC, also extended heartfelt thanks to each sponsor.

Mr. Theodore Schwab, representing the title sponsor of the tournament, Steward Partners Global Advisory, delivered a speech. Mr. Schwab expressed his gratitude for CCACC organizing this tournament and thanked the former president, Mr. Chih-Hsiang Li, for his gracious invitation. In Mr. Schwab's view, CCACC is an incredible organization that has been dedicated to the well-being of Montgomery County residents for over 40 years. He expressed his hope that CCACC would continue to thrive in the years to come, providing services to even more residents of Montgomery County.

Moving on to the thrilling award ceremony, Mr. Charles Chen, the host, began by announcing the third-place team in the tournament and proceeded to present the tournament prizes in order. During the exciting raffle segment, many lucky guests received both honor and exquisite collectibles. The tournament concluded amidst laughter and cheerful voices.
