Peeping Tom Dressed As Woman To Sneak Into MoCo Locker Rooms: Police

Authorities said the accused peeping Tom would record women once he gained entry to the locker rooms at local gyms.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — A Takoma Park man faces charges after police said he wore a disguise to sneak into Montgomery County locker rooms and record women.

Tshikundi Taty, 44, was charged with multiple counts of peeping Tom and related offenses following the incidents, police said in a news release.

According to authorities, on Oct. 10 officers responded to One Life Fitness Club in the 20500 block of Seneca Meadows Parkway in Germantown, after a woman reported an unknown person entered the women’s locker room and recorded her in the shower.

During the investigation, police discovered Taty would disguise himself as a woman to gain entry into the locker room, authorities said. After the crime, police said he would remove the disguise in an attempt to conceal his identity and flee the scene.

On Wednesday, officers followed Taty to a Planet Fitness in White Oak. According to police, officers found him in the women’s locker room disguised as a woman.

Taty was arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
