Police ID Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Car In Germantown

Montgomery County police said the collision occurred around 7:35 a.m. Wednesday.

GERMANTOWN, MD — Authorities have identified the man who died Wednesday when he was struck by a car while trying to cross a Montgomery County road.

According to police, the collision happened around 7:35 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Frederick and Ridge Roads in Germantown.

Police said 34-year-old Branden Corey Williams was attempting to cross Frederick Road, just south of Ridge Road, when he was struck by a black 2022 Toyota Corolla traveling southbound on Frederick Road.

Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Corolla remained at the scene, police said.
