ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — A Maryland Lottery player won a $250,000 top prize on a scratch-off bought recently in northern Anne Arundel County.

That player picked up his Lady Luck scratcher at 7-Eleven #23753, located in Brooklyn Park at 4000 Ritchie Highway. The lottery will give that convenience store a $1,000 bonus for selling a winning instant ticket worth $100,000 to $1 million.

The 71-year-old winner from Brooklyn, Maryland will celebrate his birthday this month. A Friday press release said the man claimed his prize last week. He plans to save the money for a rainy day.
