56 Local Educators Nominated for Teacher of the Year

Five finalists will be selected to compete for teacher of the year in April 2013.

Fifty-six top educators in the county have been nominated as candidates for the 2014 Anne Arundel County teacher of the year.

All 53 public school teachers and three private school teachesrs will be celebrated at the 28th annual Excellence in Education banquet in April 2014, sponsored by the Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce. 

The winner will be announced at the event, and will go on to represent the county in the Maryland State Teacher of the year competition.
