Brooklyn Park Fire Displaces Family of Five

A house fire in Brooklyn Park displaced a family of five Friday night, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

Firefighters arrived at a residence on the 5900 block of Belle Grove Road shortly after 11:20 p.m. Friday. Crews worked to control the two-alarm blaze until approximately midnight, according to Battalion Chief Steve Thompson, spokesperson for the department.

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire, which left $150,000 worth of damages, according to Thompson.

The Red Cross is assisting the five displaced occupants, two of whom are children, according to the department.
