Capital: County Executive Plans to Cut Proposed School Funding
County Executive John R. Leopold asked the state for permission to cut school funding Thursday, giving $15 million less than what is required.

The Capital's Tina Reed and Erin Cox reported Friday that County Executive John R. Leopold said he plans to cut requested school funding, giving $15 million less than what is required by the state.
According to the Capital, Leopold put in a formal request to the state seeking permission to cut school funding, though Reed and Cox report that the county executive plans to make the cuts with or without the state's approval.
