Cheapest Gas in Town

After nearly two months of steady decline, gas prices in the Glen Burnie area rose since we checked in last week.

Prices in the 21060 ZIP code soared this week, to $3.599. (They fell 9 cents each week for three weeks before holding steady last week.) Prices increased 8 cents in the 21061 ZIP code, going from to $3.539.

AAA lists the following ways to save gas when you're between fill-ups:

• Avoid idling when possible;
• Use cruise control when possible and maintain constant speed;
• Avoid carrying more weight (the heavier your car is, the more gas you use);
• Don’t brake or accelerate too quickly; and
• Keep tires properly filled.
