Crime and Accidents Dominate the Week’s Coverage

We look back at some of the stories from the week of April 25 to May 1.

It was a busy week for police, fire and EMS officials this week in Glen Burnie.

A man was arrested Tuesday and and a game console from a home in Brooklyn Park, taking a cab to his next destination. Unfortunately for him, a neighbor remembered seeing a cab in the neighborhood and police were able to track down Justin Chaney in Baltimore.

Friday afternoon a 91-year-old man riding a scooter on Hammonds Lane was and died from his injuries. Police are investigating the incident but said they don’t believe speed was a factor. Later Friday evening a motorcyclist who fire officials said was caused other cars to roll over. The motorcyclist and the driver of one of the cars suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
