Glen Burnie: Car accident

A 42-year-old patient was hospitalized with serious, but not life-threatening injuries after a car crash around 9:14 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and 8th Avenue, according to fire officials.

The patient was taken to the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Another patient was treated for minor injuries at .

Brooklyn Park: Robbery

A man who was staying at the Budget Plaza Motel in Brooklyn Park said he was robbed Saturday night, police said.

According to a police press release, at about 11:40 p.m. officers responded to the motel located in the 4800 block of Ritchie Highway, and spoke with a man who said he was followed by a man when he went to the motel lobby to get change for the soda machine.

The victim said the man demanded money and then assaulted him. The victim said he gave the man an undisclosed amount of money and the man left the scene headed east across Ritchie Highway and toward Townsend Avenue.

Officers searched the area but they were unable to locate the man, police said.

Glen Burnie: Fall victim

A 9-year-old boy was seriously injured after a fall in the 400 block of Starwood Drive just before 5 p.m. Saturday, fire officials said.

He was taken to Johns Hopkins pediatric unit in Baltimore with non-life-threatening injuries.

Brooklyn Park: Armed robbery

A 21-year-old man was robbed at knife point Tuesday in the area of Ballman Avenue and Church Street in Brooklyn Park.

According to a police press release, officers responded to the scene at about 9:20 p.m. when the man said he was approached by man driving a green Ford Expedition. The man continued driving away from the area and the victim said another man, who was holding a knife, approached him. The suspect demanded the victim give him his money and property and the victim complied giving the suspect his cell phone and an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then ran from the scene.

The victim and several witnesses interviewed by police said they began chasing the suspect who eventually dropped the victim’s cell phone and money and then got into the Expedition. The driver fled the area and was last seen turning on to Wood Street.

Glen Burnie: Drug arrest

Police arrested a Glen Burnie man Tuesday night on several drug-related charges.

Marcellus Iglehart Davis, 45, of Glen Burnie was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, posession of Xanax, possession of clonazepam and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a police press release.

At about 9 p.m. Tuesday, officers executed a "no knock" search warrant at Davis's Glen Burnie apartment. As a result of the search, officers found 1.94 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 15.12 grams of suspected marijuana, four suspected Xanax pills,Β six suspected clonazepam pills, $296 in cash and drug paraphernalia, police said.
