Glen Burnie: Stabbing arrest

Anne Arundel County Police have charged a Glen Burnie man with attempted murder, following a stabbing Saturday night that sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries.

Ravon Tyrone Anderson, 25, of Glen Burnie, was charged with several crimes after police said he stabbed another man during a fight in the 1400 block of Saunders Way.

According to a police press release, officers from Northern District responded at about 11 p.m. Saturday to a report of a fight at the 1400 block of Houghton Road in Glen Burnie. While checking the scene, officers came across three men on Saunders Way who appeared to be fighting in the street.

Police said they then found a 20-year-old man from Glen Burnie with stab wounds all over his torso.

Police said they investigated the scene and determined Anderson was responsible for the stabbing.

A 25-year-old man from Edgewater managed to take the knife away from Anderson and threw it away, before helping the victim, police said.

The victim was transported to , where he is in stable condition.

Police charged Anderson with five crimes, including first- and second- degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. 

A booking photo of Anderson has not yet been released. 

Glen Burnie: Hazardous chemical incident

The fire department responded to a reported chemical event at a pool on Lori Drive at the Stage Coach Apartments on Sunday around 2:30 p.m., according to Capt. James Rostek. The incident involved the mixing of chemicals, including chlorine, and two people were treated at Baltimore Washington Medical Center for minor injuries, Rostek said.

Glen Burnie: Assault arrests

Anne Arundel County Police officers arrested three people Friday night after two men were seen fighting on Old Stage Road.

Andrew Joseph Cook, 21, was charged with first- and second-degree assault. Trinette Marie Young, 38, was charged with obstructing and hindering, disorderly conduct and failing to obey a lawful order. Charges against a 47-year-old man were pending as of Monday morning, according to a police press release. All three are Glen Burnie residents.

At about 9 p.m. Friday, bike patrol officers witnessed a fight in the 300 block of Old Stage Road in Glen Burnie. As they approached the fight they saw Cook standing over the 47-year-old man and threatening him with a baseball bat, police said. The officers immediately arrested Cook without incident.

The 47-year-old man was treated on the scene by Anne Arundel County Fire Department and EMS personnel for injuries to his upper body and taken to the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore as a precaution.

Through preliminary investigation, officers learned that the two men know each other and verbally argued before the incident escalated to a physical fight. A witness told officers that the 47-year-old man hit Cook with a golf club before Cook retaliated with the bat.

While officers arrested the 47-year-old man, his girlfriend, Young, approached the officers, “became disorderly and began to obstruct and hinder the officers’ investigation and arrest,” according to the release. She was arrested on the scene.

Linthicum: Prostitution arrest

Anne Arundel County police arrested an Oklahoma woman Thursday night after surveillance led them to search a Linthicum hotel room.

Naomi L. Mason, 23, of Oklahoma City was arrested and charged with prostitution by any means and assignation by any means.

According to a police press release, after numerous complaints of prostitution taking place at a hotel in the hotel district of Linthicum, officers executed a search and seizure warrant at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

During surveillance of the hotel, detectives stopped a client who was seen leaving the hotel and learned that he responded to an online advertisement where he paid money to meet with Mason in exchange for sexual favors, police said.

After searching the room, officers found several condoms, four cell phones, prepaid credit card receipts, prepaid credit cards and cash.

Police did not release the name of the hotel.

Pasadena: Robbery arrests

Six teens, including two 15 year olds from Glen Burnie, were arrested and charged after a Tuesday night robbery near Pine Haven Drive in Pasadena.

According to a police press release, the victims, two 14-year-old boys and a 13-year-old boy, called police and reported that they were walking near Queens Park and Duvall Highway when the six teens approached them on bicycles and demanded that they empty their pockets. One of the suspects also displayed a knife.

The victims turned over their cell phones, money and other items then fled on foot. Police searched the area and caught the suspects soon after. The victims later identified the suspects.

All six were charged with armed robbery, robbery and theft under $1,000.

Two 15-year-old Glen Burnie boys were arrested as well as a 16-year-old boy from Baltimore and a 15-year-old boy from Pasadena. Additionally, two 17-year-old boys from Pasadena—Dashawn Sumler and Garrett Francis Thompson—were arrested and charged as adults.
