Balsoma was debating whether to visit a coffee shop that morning, but she decided to go to Royal Farms for an energy drink instead. She bought the $20 instant ticket while she was at the convenience store.
The mother of two scratched off her winning game while sitting in the car with her fiancé. The two couldn't believe the victory until Balsoma claimed her prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters.
