Girl Assaulted in Brooklyn Park Robbery Attempt

A 17-year-old girl was assaulted during an attempted robbery, according to police.

Shortly after 9 p.m. on Thursday, a 17-year-old girl reported she was assaulted during a robbery attempt on Townsend Avenue in Brooklyn Park, according to Anne Arundel County police.

Three suspects approached the victim and two of her friends while walking on Townsend Avenue. The suspects, two women and one male, started punching her and demanded cash. The victim did not give them money, and the suspects fled toward Baltimore City.

Police searched the immediate area for the suspects, but failed to locate them. The victim was treated at Harbor Hospital for minor injuries from the assault.
