Glen Burnie Income Map Shows Stark Differences by Neighborhood

This map is a visual depiction of income levels across Glen Burnie and northern Anne Arundel County. The cooler green colors represent higher incomes and the warmer colors represent lower ones.

Greater Glen Burnie has a mixture of faint green areas, for moderately high income households, to dark reds for households with an income of less than $26,000.

One neighborhood, from Mountain Road up to Marley Neck Road, has an average household income of less than $34,000 while households in the adjacent neighborhood toward Chestnut Hill Cove averaged more than $84,000.

The map was created by a website called Rich Blocks, Poor Blocks, which has mapped out "how much money people make in every neighborhood in every city in America."
