Glen Burnie Man Dies After SUV Rolls Over on Route 100

Antoine McCray, 37, died after apparently losing control of his GMC Envoy while driving on Route 100 Monday afternoon.

A Glen Burnie man died after being thrown from the the sport utility vehicle (SUV) he was driving on Route 100 Monday afternoon, police said.

Lamont McCray, 37, died after apparently losing control of the GMC Envoy, causing the SUV to roll over multiple times.

According to a police press release, police responded to Route 100 west in the area of Quarterfield Road at about 2:30 p.m. Monday for a report of a serious accident.

Initial investigation revealed that McCray was driving on Route 100 when he lost control of the SUV. Police said they are unaware of the reason McCray lost control. The Envoy then went into the grassy median and rolled over several times. McCray was thrown from the SUV.

Anne Arundel County Fire Department personnel took McCray to the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he later died of his injuries.

Police said they do not believe speed was a factor in the accident but had not yet determined if alcohol or drugs were involved as of Tuesday morning. The investigation is ongoing.
