Glen Burnie Woman, 50, Found Dead After Police Stop Husband

Anne Arundel County police are not filing charges in the death of a woman whose body was discovered by authorities in a Glen Burnie home after her husband informed police of her condition during a traffic stop.

When police pulled over a vehicle near the intersection of West Ordinance Road and Roberts Court at approximately 11 p.m. Monday, the driver told the officer that his wife was dead inside their residence, according to police. The driver asked officers to check on her.

When officers went to the home  on the 6600 block of Roberts Court, they found Bonnie Grace Anthony-Garde, 50, unresponsive. Medics arrived and pronounced her dead at the scene.

Bruce Goldfarb, assistant to the Chief Medical Examiner, said Anthony-Garde died of natural causes, specifically gastrointestinal hemorrhaging, and that her death occurred days before her body was discovered by authorities.

According to police, the driver was intoxicated at the time and was transported to Harbor Hospital, where he is being held pending various traffic violations. He is not being charged in connection with his wife's death, according to Anne Arundel County police spokesman Justin Mulcahy.
