UPDATED: Man Shot in Marley Station Mall Parking Lot

A man who was shot in the parking lot of Marley Station Mall and taken by acquaintances to a Dunkin' Donuts in Pasadena is in stable condition, police said.

A 23-year-old Snow Hill man who was shot in the parking lot of Marley Station Mall Tuesday afternoon is listed as being in stable condition, police said.

At about 12:45 p.m. police received report of a man being shot and responded to the Dunkin' Donuts at Ritchie Highway and Jumpers Hole Road in Pasadena.

Once on the scene, officers learned that the man, who police said they believe is in his 20s, was shot in the parking lot of Marley Station Mall and taken to the Dunkin' Donuts by two acquaintances, said Anne Arundel County Police spokesman Justin Mulcahy.

According to witness reports made to the police, the suspects are believed to be two men who fled the scene heading south on Ritchie Highway in a dark gray Honda. Police said initial investigation indicates that the shooting was not a random act of violence.

The man was shot in the upper torso and taken by ambulance to the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Mulcahy said, and was in stable condition as of 5 p.m.

The reason for the shooting was still under investigation with many police officers in the parking lot near and .

The investigation is ongoing.
