Clown Costumes Banned at Elementary School in Columbia This Halloween

Clown costumes are out of the question for students in at least two Howard County elementary schools this Halloween.

Atholton Elementary School in Columbia and Centennial Lane Elementary School in Ellicott City have issued a ban on clowns at their festivities. School officials alerted families Tuesday that children are not allowed to dress as clowns for Halloween celebrations and fall festivals at the schools this year. >>> Read more.

VIP Member of Child Porn Site Sentenced to 5 Years in Prison

An Anne Arundel County man who was a VIP member of an online site that advertised and distributed child pornography has been sentenced to five years in federal prison. A federal judge on Wednesday sentenced Robert P. Kramer, 51, of Arnold, to the prison term, followed by five years of supervised release, for distribution of child pornography. When he is released from prison, Kramer must register as a sex offender.>>> Read more.
