North County Area Sees 5 Stabbings Within 48 Hours
Five incidents occurring between late Saturday night and Sunday evening sent seven men to area hospitals.
Five stabbings that occured in Glen Burnie and Linthicum in fewer than 48 hours sent seven men to area hospitals over the weekend, according to Anne Arundel County fire and police officials.
Two of the incidents resulted in arrests.
According to a police release, officers responded to the (BWMC) at about 12:13 a.m. Sunday for a reported stabbing.

Once at the hospital, police learned that a 35-year-old man was walking in the 7800 block of Parke West Avenue in Glen Burnie at about 11:15 p.m. Saturday when three men approached him and demanded his money. Police said the victim then hit two of the men, knocking them to the ground, when the third man stabbed the victim in the torso.
According to police, the men fled and the victim walked to BWMC to be treated for non-life threatening injuries to his hands and torso and was later released. Nothing was taken from the man during the attempted robbery.

Then about 45 minutes later, at around 11:54 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 100 block of Queen Anne Road in Glen Burnie for a report of a domestic assault. When officers arrived they found a man, who fire officials described as being in his early 20s, suffering from a stab wound to the leg.
Police were informed that Brittany Marie Kelly, 22, of Pasadena was identified as the person who stabbed the victim. Kelly was found a short distance away and arrested. Police said, however, that Kelly assaulted the officer as she was being arrested.
Kelly was charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, assault on a law officer and resisting arrest, police said.
The man was taken to the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with serious, but not life-threatening injuries, fire officials said.
The third stabbing happened 25 minutes later at around 12:19 a.m. Sunday, when police responded to an incident near the intersection of Old Mill Road and Watermill Drive in Glen Burnie.
According to police, a 32-year-old man was stabbed in the torso after getting into a confrontation with three men.
The man also was taken to Shock Trauma with life-threatening injuries, fire officials said.
Police said officers searched the area for the men, but were unable to locate them.
A fourth incident occurred at the BWI Airport Marriott located in the 1700 block of W. Nursery Road in Linthicum. When police arrived at the hotel at about 2:30 a.m., officers spoke with a security guard who witnessed an argument between two men in one of the hotel rooms.
According to police, Timothy Lewis Hall, 29, of Columbia pulled a knife during the altercation and the 28-year-old man he was arguing with was injured in the hand when he attempted to take the knife from Hall. The security guard also was injured when he tried to separate the men.
The 28-year-old man was treated at Harbor Hospital and released. The security guard was treated at BWMC for a cut to the back of his neck and released. Police said Hall also was treated at BWMC for a hand injury and was arrested upon release from the hospital.
Hall was charged with two counts each of first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
The fifth incident occurred at around 7:28 p.m. Sunday when police responded to the 200 block of Woodhill Drive in Glen Burnie for a reported stabbing.
When police arrived on the scene, they found a 21-year-old man suffering from a cut to the jaw.ย According to police, the man was involved in a physical altercation with another man. The suspect then went to a nearby apartment and retrieved an unknown object and engaged the victim in another altercation, which is when he was cut on his jaw.
The victim was taken to Shock Trauma with serious, but not life-threatening injuries, according to fire officials. Police said he was treated and released.
The suspect fled on foot.
