• Bullets fly from deck during chaotic Glen Burnie celebration (shorenewsnetwork.com) — Police say New Year’s Eve gunfire from a backyard deck shook a Glen Burnie neighborhood, damaging a nearby home but causing no injuries. Officers arrested one local man, recovered multiple firearms and dozens of shell casings, and are asking residents for tips as they search for a second suspect. 
• MVA's Highway Safety Office now accepting grant applications to support safer roads (wvnews.com) — From Glen Burnie, state transportation officials are inviting organizations to apply for traffic safety grants aimed at reducing crashes and saving lives across Maryland. Applications are open now through February 28 for programs that will run during the 2027 federal fiscal year, backing innovative ideas that support the Serious About Safety initiative and the goal of zero roadway fatalities.
