(UPDATED) Photo Gallery: Firefighters Extinguish Laundry Room Fire
The "less-than-one-alarm" fire that was in the laundry room of a Woodside apartment building was extinguished quickly, fire officials said.
Updated at 8:19 a.m. Tuesday: Fire investigators have determined that the fire originated in a trash can in the laundry room, Division Chief Michael Cox said. He said the fire seems to be incendiary, meaning it was intentionally set.
Arson investigators are asking anyone with information to call the arson tips line at 410-222-TIPS.
Cox said the fire was contained to the laundry room and no apartments were damaged.

Original article: Anne Arundel County firefighters quickly extinguished a "less-than-one-alarm" fire Monday afternoon in the 7800 block of Parke West Drive in Glen Burnie, fire officials said.
A call came in around 2:50 p.m. reporting a dryer fire in a building at Woodside Apartments, said Divison Chief Michael Cox, fire department spokesman. When firefighters arrived they detected smoke coming from the roof, entered the building and found a small fire in the laundry room before quickly extinguishing it, Cox said.

Officials have not yet determined the cause of the fire or the extent of the damages. Firefighters were still on the scene as of 3:30 p.m. and had not yet determined if apartments were affected by the fire, witnesses said.
