Police Investigate Reckless Driving Claims
WJZ reports police are investigating after a YouTube video surfaced from a car show at Marley Station Mall.
Police are investigating apparently intentional reckless driving near Marley Station Mall earlier this month, based on a video posted on YouTube.
The nearly 15-minute video, posted May 7, shows drivers swerving and changing lanes as they exit the mall onto Ritchie Highway. Spectators cheer the drivers on, while police vehicles sit idle nearby.
According to a WJZ report, the incident happened during the Mega Meet car show on May 5. The station forwarded the video to Anne Arundel County police.

Police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said in an email that the police vehicle seen in the video was unoccupied, and that officers were walking the crowd. Officers performed five traffic stops, issuing two tickets and three warnings, Mulcahy said.
Mulcahy said police received "several calls" around 4 p.m., May 5, about erratic driving near the show.

"Our department will not tolerate this type of behavior as it puts innocent motorists and pedestrians at risk," Mulcahy said.
