Retired Glen Burnie Woman Wins $1M In Maryland Lottery
A retired Glen Burnie woman won $1 million in the Maryland Lottery. She was one of four major winners in Anne Arundel County last week.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A retired Glen Burnie woman claimed a $1 million prize from the Maryland Lottery last week. She was one of four players in Anne Arundel County to win or claim a major prize during that stretch.
The anonymous resident doesn't plan to make any lifestyle changes. The money will instead bolster her already-comfortable retirement.
“I’m just looking at it as more than I have now,” she said last Thursday in a press release announcing the victory. “It’ll make things that much easier.”

The lucky woman doesn't have any immediate plans for celebrating her win, which was the largest in the state last week. She has a birthday in a few weeks, so she may take a day trip with her husband.

The win came on a $5,000 Loaded scratch-off bought for $20 at Royal Farms No. 045, located in Linthicum at 308 South Camp Meade Road.
The convenience store will also get a $1,000 bonus, equal to 1 percent of the prize, for selling the ticket.
Another four top prizes of $1 million remain in the $5,000 Loaded Game, which debuted last May. Five prizes of $50,000 and 36 of $10,000 are also still available.

Around the state, 42 players won or claimed prizes of at least $10,000 in the week ending Feb. 20. The Maryland Lottery paid nearly $36.6 million in prizes over those seven days.
